The White Walkers went up against the Toclafane in some sort of match at the Wall, which was covered on television by Pete Lannister right after Lannister reported on Davros's dismay at his Daleks' disappearance. (NOTVALID: The Magician's Apprentice: What We Know So Far)

Behind the scenes

The White Walkers are among the species inhabiting the world of Westeros in the fantasy universe of the notorious television series Game of Thrones, hence their mention in the Pete Lannister-Gendry Temple-Noble skit from The Magician's Apprentice: What We Know So Far, which parodied the existence of shared cast members between Game of Thrones and Doctor Who by reporting upon them as though they were "player transfers" between professional sports teams.
