In the 2501st century, Volag-Noc was still in use. Dirk Slipstream was sent there by the Doctor for murdering six hundred people, though he escaped after six years. The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond visited the Gyre in 250,399 after the TARDIS was pulled off-course. (PROSE: Night of the Humans)
