Howling:Torchwood in the 70s (or was it the 80s?)
What were Torchwood doing during the third Doctor's exile on Earth? The Doctor's existance wasn't exactly kept top secret, and with some of the major catastrophes the Doctor helped avert, surely Torchwood would have been able to notice?--TemporalSpleen 10:43, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
At that time, Torchwood didn't exist in the Doctor's timeline, since he accidentally inspired it as the Tenth Doctor. Jim393 11:45, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
But even if Torchwood never existed until it was inspired by the Tenth Doctor, the Third Doctor would still have been exiled to Earth in that new timeline in which Torchwood existed. Also, the fires of Pompeii shows that the Doctor was responsible for the eruption, yet that still happened in his timeline before he interfered. Only certain events are in flux, so Torchwood could have existed in the original timeline.--TemporalSpleen 12:27, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
