Samiid Ruovttuguovlo was the native territory of the Sami, located in Lapland. In the 21st century, the majority of the 100,000-strong Sami population resided in Samiid Ruovttuguovlo, which was made up of three most northern municipalities of Utsjoki, Inari and Enontekió. The largest settlement was the village of Utsjoki, with a population of 600. (PROSE: Project: Valhalla)
