Forum:2009 or 2008?

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

This wikia refers to the events in "The Stolen Earth/Journey's End" as The Dalek Invasion of 2009. However, in the Doctor Who universe (specifically in The Waters of Mars), it is referred to as The Dalek Invasion of 2008. Should the timeline of the Tardis Index File be changed to be the same as the Whoniverse? I know this issue comes from the fact that Rose was missing for a year in Series 1, but could the events in Series 1 (episodes 4 on onwards) and Series 2 have taken place in the same year? Thoughts on this conroversey?

No, because in the year skip for series 1, she ends up in 2006. Then The Christmas Invasion happens at the end of 2006, causing series 2 to be 2007, followed by The Runaway Bride at the end of 2007, then series 3 in 2008, then Voyage of the Damned at the end of 2008, and then series 4 in 2009. It was also revealed in The Waters of Mars, which is set in 2059, that the Dalek Invasion happened 50 years ago. What do you get if you take 50 years from 2059? You get 2009. Also, Adelaide was born in May 12th 1999 and and was 10 years old when the Daleks invaded, which is supposed to have taken place in late May or early June, meaning it was 2009 becauuse she was 10 years old when they invaded. A piece of dialouge, and the news paper article site it was 2009 (because she was 10 when they inavded and born in 1999), and so does the novel Beautiful Chaos. The 2008 thing is an obvious typo.

Funfact: I'm was born May 12th, too. Delton Menace 12:01, January 14, 2010 (UTC)
