Clayton (The Thief of Sherwood)

Clayton was a member of the Time Team, a regular feature of Doctor Who Magazine that reviewed an array of Doctor Who stories. In 1999, in issue 285, Clayton took part in a review of The Outlaws along with his fellow members.

Clayton is very clearly a reference to Clayton Hickman, a member of the Time Team.
