Timeline:2014[[edit source]]

If this story is leading up to Asylum of the Daleks and the Doctor meets up with past Amy and Rory, how can Pond life be set in 2014, two years after the of Series 7? I feel it should changed to 2012, because its setting doesn't make any sense. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cyruptsaram (talk • contribs) .

At the end of The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe Amy says it has been two years since she last saw the Doctor, this sets Asylum of the Daleks in 2014 not 2012. The Light6 09:41, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
That doesn't logically follow. There's nothing (yet) to connect Wardrobe to Pond Life. For all we know, the tiny Christmas scene in Wardrobe could take place well after episode 5 of series 7.

Well if I recall correctly Amy does clarify to the Doctor that she and Rory knew he was alive because River told them, eg. the end of The Wedding of River Song when saying it has been 2 years. That places Warerobe 2 years after Series 6, and not some other arbitrary point. The Light6 00:44, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
Amy and Rory know the Doctor's alive, and the Doctor's in regular contact with them. It seems a little "crossing into the timestream" for Pond Life to take place before Wardrobe's final scene. -- Tybort (talk page) 00:46, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
Yah and of course Moffat doesn't enjoy crossing into the timestream at all. I mean, he absolutely wouldn't set the first episode of a series after the eleventh, would he? Nahhhhhh, course not. :) All I'm saying is that we need to wait for confirmation from the next five episodes. We'll know by early October what the final timeline of the Ponds is. Let's just stick with what we absolutely know until then. Speaking of which — do we know that this flat is in Leadworth? It doesn't look like the Leadworth of The Eleventh Hour, so do we have proof that it's in Leadworth? Seems a reasonable question to ask, since Closing Time has Amy becoming a model, and one might imagine she'd need to be closer to London for that.

Oh right, it's the house they moved into at the end of The God Complex, isn't it? I suppose that isn't explicitly stated to be in Leadworth. -- Tybort (talk page) 20:05, August 31, 2012 (UTC)

The Timeline is 2014 by Aslyum of the Daleks; Amy joins the Doctor in 2010 (as stated by Series 5, since the TARDIS explosion is June 26 2010) and the Doctor is shot, in Series 6 in April 2011, so at Christmas two years later, makes it Christmas 2013; then the events of Pond Life occur - since Rory and Amy are TOGETHER at the end of The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe - which places the events of Aslyum of the Daleks in September 2014. The events of Dinosaurs on a Spaceship have been confirmed to take place ten months AFTER Asylum of the Daleks (as confirmed here: http://www.sfx.co.uk/2012/07/15/doctor-who-at-comic-con/) placing the timeline of THOSE events in July 2015. That is the timeline. --HarryPotterRules1 22:43, September 3, 2012 (UTC)

I have requested Mini-mitch explain why he reverted my edits to this article without explanation given in the edit summary. This thread is reserved for his explanation. (Owing to my IP number changing occasionally by my ISP). 70.72.211.35talk to me 12:50, August 30, 2012 (UTC)

Cause you included spoilers from future episodes in the timeline section. I simply hit the 'rollback' button, hence you never got a reason. I do apologise, but after all you did violate our spoiler policy, even although it was a minor offence. MM/Want to talk? 12:55, August 30, 2012 (UTC)
