Judoon blasters were the weapons carried by the Judoon.

Function

The guns shot out a red energy beam, which disintegrated an organic target in one shot. They were able to shoot through glass without difficulty, and make holes in walls. Like most of Judoon technology, the blasters were red in colour. The blasters took a few seconds to charge as seen when a trio of Judoon blasted the Doctor and Martha Jones after the Doctor was identified as a non-Human. It was difficult, but not impossible, to avoid the energy discharge. (TV: Smith and Jones) The weapons had seemingly been advanced slightly by 2009 as when Captain Tybo crashed on Earth his blaster had a much more rapid rate of fire and required little time to charge. (TV: Prisoner of the Judoon)

A Judoon firearm acquired by Torchwood could punch a hole through a cargo ship on its highest setting. (PROSE: The Men Who Sold the World)

History

In 1902, the Judoon used their blasters to kill an unknown number of militants in Balmoral. (PROSE: Revenge of the Judoon)

When the Judoon transported the Royal Hope Hospital to the Moon, they carried blasters with them. They used them to disintegrate Florence Finnegan, a Slab, and a hospital patient that attacked one of their members. (TV: Smith and Jones)

When the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble arrived at the Shadow Proclamation, the Judoon aimed at them until the Doctor talked to them, after which they lowered their weapons. (TV: The Stolen Earth)

In 2009, Tybo crashed to Earth and his prisoner Androvax escaped. The Judoon, Captain Tybo, used his blaster freely to shoot at the Veil. He also used it to threaten police men to acquire their car, and when another group of Judoon appeared, they used their blasters to capture Androvax. (TV: Prisoner of the Judoon)

A group of Judoon used their blasters to threaten the Clerics of the Church during Battle of Demons Run, as part of the Eleventh Doctor's plan to rescue Amy Pond. They later escorted the Clerics off Demons Run. (TV: A Good Man Goes to War)
