A Bird was a type of animal, found on Earth and many other planets. Some intelligent species seem to be descended from birds, like the Jacondan, the Valnaxi and the Dethak. The unnamed species of Mr and Mrs Pakoo was also birdlike. The planet Pheros was inhabited by intelligent robotic birds made of living metal and the Devil-Birds of Corbo were also robotic.
Examples of non-sentient birds include Ostriches, Ravens, dodos, Parrots, Sparrows and the Didus.
