Santorini

Behind the scenes

The scientists whose minds were stolen in Shada are all named after features of the Greek island of Santorini. The island itself is also known as Santori or Thira. Caldera is the name of the inner sea the island surrounds, while Ia and Akrotiri are both cities on the island.
