The Doctor on My Shoulder is a two-part online short story released in serialized form on the BBC's Doctor Who Website as part of the 2009 Adventure Calendar.

Summary

Shrunk down to the size of a doll, the Doctor enlists the help of a young boy to rescue a princess.

Notes

• The Doctor on My Shoulder was published on the BBC's Doctor Who website on 17th and 23rd December 2009 as part of its Christmas themed Adventure Calendar.
• This is the last piece of new Tenth Doctor fiction to be officially published prior to the regeneration. One further piece of literary fiction is scheduled with this incarnation, NSA: Code of the Krillitanes, scheduled for publication in March 2010.

Continuity

• At the end, the Doctor says he's finally going to do something he's been putting off, presumably going to rendezvous with the Ood in DW: The End of Time.
• The Doctor refers to having been Father Christmas at times (DW: The Doctor Dances).
