Category talk:Posthumous releases

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Archive footage

Presumably this doesn't include archival appearances? For example categorising The Day of the Doctor for Hartnell, Troughton, and Pertwee. --Borisashton 20:23, June 5, 2018 (UTC)

No, archival appearances don't count.MystExplorer 20:26, June 5, 2018 (UTC)
Cool, just checking. --Borisashton 20:27, June 5, 2018 (UTC)
No problem! And thanks for helping to fill out the category.MystExplorer 20:28, June 5, 2018 (UTC)

Prop delete

By the standards of Tardis:Even good categories can be removed and Tardis:Don't over-categorise, this category should be deleted. Yes, it contains information that would be interesting to some people (as any possible category would), but it's not really that relevant to the wiki as a whole. Well, as the creator of the category, I vote to keep it as stories that are released posthumously are very rare in terms of the overall franchise and therefore notable in their own right.MystExplorer 22:32, June 5, 2018 (UTC)
Regarding the deletion proposal, see the above topic where a user had to ask for a definition of who/what constitutes a posthumous release. And just how far do we take the "crew" for this? Does every single crew member count? If not, then that automatically requires this category to be deleted. And given how we don't allow posting of birth/death dates without sources, we would require citation of death for every person whose "posthumous release" falls in this category. I have now renovated List of posthumous releases to be a list which includes sources for all of the death dates. With this in mind, I would not be opposed to the deletion of this category. --Borisashton 21:59, July 9, 2020 (UTC)

Remove deletion tag?

Since no action has been taken, I assume it's safe to remove the deletion tag from this category? MystExplorer 14:51, October 5, 2019 (UTC)
