Talk:Guardian of Time

Name

I understand they are Guardians and use the Key to Time, but where exactly did the name "Guardians of Time" come from? I'm just curious as to why this page isn't simply called "Guardians" as that's all they're called in most media. Is there a story where the phrase "Guardians of Time" is used? The Quantum Archangel, chapter six, the Master calls them that. "The Guardians of Time? They will thank me for ridding the multiverse of their bastard children, the Chronovores." P&P talk contribs 20:21, May 1, 2015 (UTC)

Rename

Right, yes. So. About the name: I do kinda agree that Guardian of Time would better befit current policy. The Guardians are not just an organisation, they are a species/class of beings unto themselves, usually defined (including in the original memos) as being the rank above Time Lords in the cosmic pyramid hierarchy, as it were. The infobox for Black Guardian links to this page under "|species=", is what I'm saying.--Scrooge MacDuck 10:24, July 16, 2020 (UTC)
