A branch of UNIT existed in Japan by the 2010s.

They worked with the Eleventh Doctor against the Axons (COMIC: The Golden Ones) and with the Twelfth Doctor against Professor Nakatomi's Kaznak Simu-System. (COMIC: Big in Japan)
