Thremix was a Gallifreyan biologist who created the virus that would give Time Lords longer lifespans and the ability to regenerate. After Thremix prepared the virus to be released into the population of Gallifrey, an agent of Gimel assassinated Thremix so that he could not challenge Rassilon. (PROSE: The Scrolls of Rassilon)
