Clom, also spelt Klom or Cloume, (TV: The Girl Who Waited) was the twin planet (or sister planet) of Raxacoricofallapatorius. Together, they were members of the Raxas Alliance.

As a member world of the Raxas Alliance, the treasures of Clom were held in the Raxasian vaults. (COMIC: Doctormania)

Native species

Clom was inhabited by an intelligent species. (TV: Love & Monsters) At some point, they had a Disneyland on Clom, which was replicated by the Apalapucians. (TV: The Girl Who Waited) They were members of the Raxas Alliance, along with Raxacoricofallapatorius, Clix and Raxacoricovarlonpatorius. (TV: The Gift) Despite this, there was an adversial relationship between Clom and Raxacoricofallapatorius. (TV: Love & Monsters) Clom was used in an oath by a Slitheen as "for the love of Clom". (TV: Revenge of the Slitheen) Similarily, the Tenth Doctor was once heard to curse "for the mists of Clom." (PROSE: The Krillitane Storm)

Land prawns were a popular delicacy on Clom and was also enjoyed by Raxacoricofallapatorians. (TV: The Gift)

History

Clom was a member of the four world Raxas Alliance by the early 21st century, taking its lead from Raxacoricofallapatorius. (TV: The Gift)

The "Abzorbaloff", encountered by the Tenth Doctor in 2007, was a native of Clom. The Doctor was somewhat surprised by the planet's name. (TV: Love & Monsters)

Along with twenty-six other planets, Clom was stolen by the Daleks and taken to the Medusa Cascade in 2009, much to the Doctor's bewilderment, suggesting the planet to have no real value. (TV: The Stolen Earth) as part of Davros's plan to detonate the reality bomb. This was stopped by Donna Noble, and Clom and the rest of the planets were subsequently sent back to their proper places. (TV: Journey's End)

In 3764, Clom pulled out of peace talks among the Raxas Alliance. As such, their denizens did not participate in the peace conference on Clix and the ensuing Grand Raxian Hunt against Slist Fayflut Marteveerthon Slitheen and Rose Tyler. (COMIC: Doctormania)

Behind the scenes

An early draft of The Stolen Earth established that the disappearance of Clom came at great concern to the Jingatheen family of Raxacoricofallapatorius. (REF: The Writer's Tale)
