Saint-Yvon was an area in Belgium, close to the town of Ypres.

During World War I, on 25 December, 1914, Captain Archibald Hamish Lethbridge-Stewart and other British Army soldiers were laying field telephone cables at the front line near Saint-Yvon when they encountered another German attack. After a couple of hours, the fighting gave way to the Christmas truce. (PROSE: Twice Upon a Time)
