Freemason

The Freemasons were a secret organisation. A message left on a wall led the police in 1888 to suggest that Jack the Ripper was a member of the group. (PROSE: The Pit) The Goulsten Street message's reference to "the Juwes" actually had nothing to do with the group. Chief Inspector Smith believed "Sir Charles Warren" had connections to the Freemasons when he ordered the message removed.
