Field Marshal Thatcher was a high ranking UNIT official stationed in Geneva in the 1960s/1970s. When Major General Rutlidge tried to stop UNIT interference with International Electromatics and the Cyberman invasion of Earth, the Brigadier threatened to go over his head, directly to Thatcher.
