Jon Pertwee played the Third Doctor.

In 1969, he auditioned for the role and later got the part. At his audition, he arrived dressed as one very specific scarecrow which prompted his judges to inform him that his costume for the part would have to be changed. In 1974, he was succeeded in the role by Tom Baker. (NOTVALID: Ever Wondered What Happened At.. The Auditions For The Seven Doctors?)

At some point, he was abducted by the President of the Worzel Gummidge fan club. (NOTVALID: Gemini Plan)

In 1993, he was involved in an argument over the size of Tom Baker's part in The Dark Dimension. (NOTVALID: Doctor Whoah! 379)
