The "lost generation" was a term the Tenth Doctor ascribed to the combatants in the First World War because the war affected, and destroyed, the lives of so many young men. (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons) Tim Latimer was a member of this generation. People on Earth held a yearly Remembrance Day in order to honour the soldiers from this generation who died in battle.
