Tun-Huang way-station

A way-station in Tun-Huang was one of many such way-stations positioned along the Old Silk Road, owing their allegiance to Kublai Khan. It was run by Chenchu.

The First Doctor, Susan, Barbara, and Ian visited the way-station in 1289, while travelling through the city with Marco Polo's caravan. (TV: Marco Polo, PROSE: Marco Polo)
