The War of Five Hundred Worlds was a conflict between several space-faring species before the 11th century. In the early part of the war, skirmishes were fought with Gelem warriors, who were created from people kidnapped on primitive planets. The use of Gelem warriors was outlawed by the Pact of Chib.
