Nimo Sylvest
Nimo Sylvest was an academic and the mother of twin mathematics geniuses Remus and Romulus Sylvest with her husband, Archie Sylvest.
She was consumed by a desire to pursue multiple doctorates, making her spaced-out and distant towards her children. She had four Ph.Ds and more degrees than anyone else their side of Vebus Twelve. (PROSE: The Twin Dilemma) In 2310, (AUDIO: Daleks Among Us) Nimo left to pursue a fifth Ph.D without saying goodbye to her sons. (PROSE: The Twin Dilemma) When their father told them that she had gone, Romulus and Remus expressed displeasure at being "abandoned" by their mother and told him that she was a fool. Archie asked the boys to be kinder to their mother, but they refused and claimed that giving birth to them did not automatically grant her their affection. According to the twins, respect had to be earned and Nimo Sylvest had not earned theirs. (TV: The Twin Dilemma)
