The planetary alignment field was the alignment of the 27 stolen planets within the Medusa Cascade, which were used by the New Dalek Empire to power the reality bomb before use. By the Supreme Dalek's command, the planetary alignment field was activated, with the alignment of the planets flattening Z-Neutrino energy into a single string. (TV: Journey's End)
