Ray-gun post
Ray-gun posts were operated by the Mondasian Cybermen, based in Ray Gun Towers operated by Cyber-crews.
On one planet, the Cybermen manned a trio of ray-gun posts, up to Tower No 3, which served to prevent their human slaves from escaping their city. By using a mini-bomb to topple the Cyber-statue, the Second Doctor caused a distraction which provided an opening for the slaves to commandeer the gun towers. Though the gun crews outgunned the slaves, the Doctor, acting on the ground, used a handheld ray-weapons to eliminate them, allowing the slaves to take control of the last tower. Ultimately, the Cybermen at the building site were defeated, allowing the slaves to escape the planet via the interplanetary rocket site. (COMIC: The Cyber Empire)
