Adrian Rigelsford
Adrian Rigelsford was born in Cambridgeshire. He is a writer and long-time fan of Doctor Who and has conducted interviews for periodicals including Radio Times, Film Review, Fantasy Zone and Movies and Doctor Who Magazine.
However, Rigelsford is the subject of some controversy. An interview he claimed to have conducted with Stanley Kubrick, that was published in TV Times was later proven to be fraudulent, with the magazine issuing an apology to Christiane Kubrick and publishing a correction.[1] He was found guilty of stealing and selling a great number of photos from a research library over an eight-year period.[2]
Additionally, due to the Kubrick incident, some have voiced their concerns that quotes he has attributed figures from Doctor Who and Carry On, alleging to be from final interviews, cannot be verified by any other sources.[1]
He wrote the script for The Dark Dimension, an unproduced story intended to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of Doctor Who. It would have starred all the surviving Doctors.
