Transit

A transit, as described by Ian Chesterton, was "when one heavenly body moves across the disc of another" from the perspective of those viewing. One example was the Transit of Venus, which occurred when the planet Venus passed in front of the Sun. Another example was a solar eclipse. (AUDIO: The Transit of Venus)
