Ken Mead

Ken Mead was an astronomer assigned to the observatory outpost on GK5 with Frank Ross. In 2066, he noticed the increased sound of the computers and determined that something big was on the way. Frank checked the readings of the radio telescope and found it to show some kind of meteorite constructed of matter unknown to humans. Using the telescope to learn the location of its landing site, Ken and Frank boarded their vehicle to go and investigate. Upon reaching the site, they found a "mysterious membrane" roughly spheroid in shape. Giving it a closer inspection despite Ken initially advising caution, the tentacles of a creature burst out and grabbed hold of both Frank and Ken, killing them both. Tracking stations reported that contact had been lost with GK5 with Commander Zero summoning Steve Zodiac and Fireball XL5 back to Space City to deal with the mounting crisis.
