Dead planet
A dead planet or dead world was a planet which had once supported life, only for it to be utterly destroyed.
History
The emergence of the first Dalek before Zolfian and Yarvelling constituted the surprising reveal that, even after the Neutronic War, Skaro was not actually "a dead world". (COMIC: Genesis of Evil, The Dalek Tapes)
In 4000 Mavic Chen claimed that taranium could only be found on one of the dead planets of the solar system, later specifying that taranium was found on Uranus. (TV: The Dalek's Master Plan)
The Dalek Logic Computer aboard Searcher One stated that every star system had at least one dead planet in it. (COMIC: The Archives of Phryne)
When initially landing on Skaro (TV: The Daleks) in early 2064, (PROSE: Peaceful Thals Ambushed!) the First Doctor similarly noted that "whatever it was destroyed everything that was living", and that "the planet [was] dead, totally dead". (TV: The Daleks)
Iris Wildthyme once found herself on a dead planet, after Panda told her that there was a Bring-a-Bottle party there. On the dead planet, there was a petrified forest, a building with lots of doors, and the blonde natives who wore "blue eyeshadow and not much else". (PROSE: From Wildthyme with Love)
Some time after the Thirteenth Doctor discovered that Gallifrey had been "pulverised… burned… nuked… all of the above" by the Spy Master, (TV: Spyfall) the Queen of the Skithra taunted her by asking "if she had ever seen a dead planet". (TV: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror)
