Ra'ra'vis
The Ra'ra'vis were the avian natives of the planet Helion.
The Ra'ra'vis kidnapped Rassilon during the war with the Vampires. The Ra'ra'vis were defeated by Jorus and the Vogans, who subsequently freed Rassilon. (PROSE: Jorus and the Voganauts)
Once each generation, the crystalline moons of Helion aligned with its sun at the Solstice of Pajaro. This created a beam of temporal energy (similar to a time corridor) that lasted for a few hours. Normally, the Ra'ra'vis used to this rejuvenate their old and sick.
On one occasion, however. they used a rare double occurrence of the solstice in a time experiment, sending their first "chrononaut" to Earth many centuries earlier. He was saved by the 11th Doctor. (COMIC: Time Fraud)
