Roy Lafbery was the dialogue editor for most of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds. This included the first series episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring an appearance by the Daleks.

Lafbery was also involved in several other creations of Gerry Anderson. He was the sound editor for ten episodes of the live-action series Space: 1999, as well as the television special The Day After Tomorrow.

Thunderbirds marked Lafbery's first credits and he was later most predonimantly a sound editor. Among this work, during his thirty-year career, was many episodes of Man in a Suitcase, The Champions, Department S, Return of the Saint, The Darling Buds of May and Where the Heart Is. He also worked as a dubbing editor on productions such as A Touch of Frost and Fat Friends.
