Desi was associated with the television company Desilu. Bill, a television writer, affectionately referred to him as "that Desi", saying, "[you] gotta love the guy." The name Desilu brought a warm smile to his face. (PROSE: Mordieu)

Technically, Bill does not name him as Desi Arnaz, but it's made perfectly clear who he's talking about. Desi Arnaz co-founded Desilu Productions with his then-wife, Lucille Ball, and the two co-starred in their own production, I Love Lucy.
