City of Glass
The Doctor visited the City of Glass with Iris Wildthyme and a "black boy in a silver, figure-hugging spacesuit". In this City, the Doctor fought giant owls with an elephant gun. Records shown by Marn to the Eighth Doctor many years later showed that on this visit, the Doctor spoke the words, "TARDIS", "Time Lords" and "Gallifrey". (PROSE: The Blue Angel)
30,000 years later, the Glass Men were usurped from their city by The Wardrobes, who dubbed themselves the "New Gods". Due to the hostile nature of The Wardrobes, the indigenous humanoids lived in fear of the New Gods wrath, as the New Gods constantly demanded sacrifices.
Iris Wildthyme, Panda, Simon, and Barbra ventured to Valcea to stop Anthony Marvelle's plans, and Iris and her friends found themselves in the now ancient City, which had fallen into disrepair over the many years. They were almost immediately captured by the New Gods, who were allied with Marvelle. One of the New Gods housed the Dii h'anno Doors within itself, which Marvelle used to reach Hyspero.
