Wasdale Head

Wasdale Head was a mountain with several peaks located in the Lake District.

Appearance

The hillside was covered with bracken, which caught fire easily, and there was a deep lake below, which had a ledge around ten metres down. (PROSE: At Childhood's End)

History

Dorothy McShane, whilt on a climbing holiday, was alerted by her business manager that UNIT were tracking a UFO, and had sent two planes to shoot it out of the sky. When the Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missiles hit, she used to debris as cover to run towards the Rintlekk escape pod that had crashed into the lake. It took three weeks for UNIT's military trucks to clear, and as soon as they had Sanaul announced that A Charitable Earth would be using the lake to test a new genertion of boats and diving equipment, occupying the area. Whilst they were using the lake for testing, Dorothy also used it as a cover to retrieve the pod. (PROSE: At Childhood's End)
