Lorne was the commander of salvage and archaeological mission to the World. She became angry when she learnt that the Second Doctor's actions to save the ship from disintegrating could eventually destroy the artefacts she had come to claim. She was killed by the creatures made from the dead Humans. She was used by the Corvus as an avatar for its world. (AUDIO: The Wreck of the World)
