The Alien Ambassadors were mis-understood alien beings which were featured in the Third Doctor Serial The Ambassadors of Death

They were first discovered by Carrington when he was on Mars aboard Mars Probe 6. He made a deal with these creatures and subsequently the Alien Ambassadors hi-jacked Mars Probe 7 and dismantled the communications systems. The crew on Probe 7 were conditioned not to remember where they were and were placed in a replica of Space Control reception. They thought that they were awaiting the go-ahead from de-contamination. The Alien Ambassadors travelled via Mars Probe 7 through to outerspace. They were met by the one-manned Recovery 7 and sent the man to their replica of Space Control, taking over his suit with another Alien Ambassador. They then flew Earth where they landed. UNIT then attempted to take the probe back to Space Control but the lorry carring the probe was hi-jacked by a band of well informed thieves (led by Reegan), hired by Carrington. The Doctor tricked the thieves and reclaimed the lorry. He drove the lorry back to Space Control. At Space Control he left the probe containing the three ambassadors in the main probe room. A group of guards ordered a search and cleared the room. These guards kidnapped the Ambassadors and took them to Reegans hideout. The Ambassadors studied and it was found that they need vast amounts of radiation to survive. Reegan used this to his advantage and he forced them to carry out a series of robberies threatening that if the threeAmbassadors didn't comply he would cut of their supply of radiation. The Doctor located the hideout and aided by UNIT and the Brigadier took the Ambassadors back to Space Control which was now under the control of Carrington. It was arranged that the Ambassadors could fly up in Recovery 7 to re-join their people with the agreement that the Ambassadors would release the real crew members and fly them back down in Recovery 7.
