20th century
In 1961, the Brookings Report was approved, telling NASA how it could conduct its business. (AUDIO: Red Dawn)
In 1969, NASA launched the shuttle signal that the Eleventh Doctor used to hypnotise everyone on Earth to kill the Silence on sight. (TV: Day of the Moon)
In the 1970s, NASA sent messages into space containing a map of the solar system, pictures of what humans looked like along with images, voices and music including Chuck Berry.
