Miriam Scarrity helped to run her husband Albert's carnival freak show in 19th century England. She was also a petty criminal and thief.
Biography
Miriam was married to Albert Scarrity and had three children: Jenny, Dorothy and Barty Scarrity. Jenny in particular disapproved of Miriam's petty crimes. Eventually, Jenny ran away from the carnival and soon afterwards Miriam's five-year-old son, Barty, also disappeared. (AUDIO: Family Matters)
