George I and Molly I were the first Burden beasts to serve the Robinsons.
During a storm both beasts were left outside the Homestead and perished. Their remains were later served at a gathering for the people of Our Town. When Lora Robinson required the assistance of two more burden beasts she named them George II and Molly I in memory of the originals. (PROSE: Lost on Mars) When viewing the Ancients' equiptment, Lora realised that she was viewing past events as she saw her original two burden beasts alive and well. (PROSE: The Heart of Mars)
