On 24 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1965 - "Small Prophet, Quick Return" was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 6)
- 1966 - Episode two of The Tenth Planet was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 8)
- 1993 - Location filming for Dimensions in Time took place. Sophie Aldred realised that she had forgotten to wear jewellery that she had worn on other shooting days, and the team had to look for an easy replacement in case of confused continuity.
- 2000 - Recording for The Mutant Phase took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2009 - Recording for The Song of Megaptera took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Recording for Dark Eyes 2 took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2019 - Recording for The First Doctor Adventures: Volume Five took place at The Soundhouse.
- 2020 - Recording for Colony of Fear took place.
- 2020 - Recording for Jago & Litefoot: Series Fourteen took place.
- 2021 - The BBC announced that Russell T Davies will succeed Chris Chibnall as showrunner from 2023 onwards.
