Genesis Ark

The Genesis Ark was a Time Lord prison ship. Because it was dimensionally transcendental, it held millions of Daleks. It survived the Last Great Time War and found its way into the possession of the Cult of Skaro.
- Given the religious connotations of the name Genesis Ark and the fact that the Cult referred to it as such, the name of the Ark possibly originated with the Cult itself.
The only way for the Genesis Ark to be activated is for it to be touched by a being that has time travelled, so that the Daleks themselves could not reactivate it if they got hold of it. A time traveller carried a sort of background radiation that normal beings do not.
When the Doctor returned to the Void all which the Void had touched,the Void sucked in the Genesis Ark itself as well as the millions of Daleks formerly contained within it. (DW: Doomsday)
- Shada, a Time Lord prison of a more conventional sort, also contained at least one Dalek prisoner, in suspended animation.
