(TV: Genesis of the Daleks) The Twelfth Doctor believed that mercy was not part of Dalek vocabulary and was shocked to hear what appeared to be a Dalek call for mercy, the casing translating Clara Oswald's plea for the Doctor not to kill her. Following this, the Doctor travelled back to rescue Davros as a child, showing him mercy. (TV: The Witch's Familiar)
