The Eye in Space was an unproduced script written by Victor Pemberton for Season 6. Producer Peter Bryant asked Pemberton to develop the script shortly after completing Fury from the Deep in late 1967. When Bryant left Doctor Who in early 1969, Pemberton decided not to pursue the story, and it was not formally commissioned.

It would have concerned a giant octopoid eye floating in space which drew things towards it, including the TARDIS. The eye would have been a faulty prison for a psychic entity that fed off of memories. Pemberton planned to have the entity take the forms of Victoria Waterfield, the First Doctor, and Zoe's late unnamed mother.
