Madhanagopal was the director of research at the Dione-Kisumu Company facilities on Dione and part of the Brotherhood of the Immanent Flesh.
GRUMPY was created by him to help imbue all humans with psychic powers, like he had. Shortly after Bernice Summerfield and Roz Forrester went there in 2227 to investigate the origins of the Yemaya 4 virus, he disappeared. The Seventh Doctor planned to find him to clear up loose ends, but there was no record of this ever happening. (PROSE: SLEEPY)
