During the broadcast of Series 3 of Doctor Who in 2007, a series of fictional blog posts written from the perspective of Martha Jones were published on MySpace. They were written by Joseph Lidster. They contained not only references to the television episodes featuring Martha, but also BBC New Series Adventures novels featuring Martha which were released to tie-in with Series 3. In return for Lidster referencing the novel The Pirate Loop in the blog, Simon Guerrier added a mention of the MySpace blog to The Pirate Loop.[1]

Due to changes to MySpace, and the account being deleted, these blogs can no longer be viewed on the MySpace website, although fan-hosted archives can be found on the internet.

Notes

  • In the final line of the blog, Martha notes that she's been offered a job, and that the reader "wouldn’t believe who it’s from". This was likely meant to foreshadow Martha's job at UNIT and her presence in the spin-off Torchwood.
