Talk:Camden Town
Camden: Borough or Town
I think this page should be split into two pages: London Borough of Camden and then either Camden or Camden Town. We currently have information on the one page which reflects two similar locations. This would be similar to the way we have pages for both Southwark and the London Borough of Southwark.
The London Borough of Camden, which some confusingly refer to simply as Camden, is far wider than the town of Camden - including places (in the real world) such as Kentish Town and Primrose Hill. The Borough of Camden is shown on the map from Revenge of the Slitheen.
The town or district of Camden, sometimes referred to as Camden Town is smaller, and is also the real world location of Camden Market. The town is referred to in The Fall of Yquatine.
I suggest that the page be split and any info relating to Camden Town be placed on the Camden Town page. Any information relating to the borough, or ambiguous information which could relate to either the town or borough should be placed on the London Borough of Camden page. 66 Seconds ☎ 10:45, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- You make a strong case with the sources you've got. Even if one single story doesn't separate out the town and borough, the names alone, Camden Town and (London) Borough of Camden, should be enough to establish these are separate entities, even in the DWU.
