Trakkiney was one of Gallifrey's first colony planets, which the Gallifreyans colonised around the same time that Rassilon installed the transduction barriers on Gallifrey. It was used as a base by the Time Lords during the Racnoss Wars.

During the war the Racnoss attacked a Fledgling Empire outpost on the planet. (PROSE: The Labyrinthine Web)
