It's a Wonderful Life

It's a Wonderful Life was a black and white Christmas film by Frank Capra and starring Jimmy Stewart.

Its opening sequence consisted of a "large, tolling bell giving way to the sound of smaller jingling ones", followed by the films title appearing on screen alongside an orchestra. (PROSE: Loose Wire)

When the Eighth Doctor told the dark-haired version of Sam Jones about the blonde version of her who travelled with him, she thought it was a practical joke like in It's a Wonderful Life. She said her mum cried through it every time it was on television. (PROSE: Unnatural History)

The Eighth Doctor said that Christmas brought communities together, like in It's a Wonderful Life. (PROSE: Not in My Back Yard)

Peri Brown told the Fifth Doctor that she wanted a Christmas on Earth, which had, among other things, It's a Wonderful Life on TV. (PROSE: Far Away in a Manger)

The Tenth Doctor considered it to be his favourite film. He accidentally released the Wire again while looking for his copy of it inside the TARDIS. After recapturing the Wire with the help of Alice Wu, he joined Alice's family as they sat down to watch the movie on television. (PROSE: Loose Wire)

The film was said to have flopped upon its original release, but had since gone on to be shown on television every Christmas. (PROSE: The Wonderful Doctor of Oz)
