Chris McAuley wrote Curse of the Cyberons, a story initially printed in the charity Doctor Who Annual 1988 by Terraqueous Distributors, then given a commercial audio release by BBV Productions as part of the Cyberon series, performed by Terry Molloy.

McAuley is most famous for his part in the "StokerVerse", a franchise developed alongside Bram Stoker's descendant Dacre Stoker, designed to expand the universe of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Indeed, Curse of the Cyberons functioned as a crossover with the Dracula universe, with the Cyberons coming across a far-future version of Dracula himself, reduced to a disembodied head kept in stasis.

McAuley has also penned stories in the Whoinverse in Terraqueous' 1989 annual writing an origin story for Mags, the character that Jessica Martin played in The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. This was done with the blessing of Mags' creator Stephen Wyatt who gave it great acclaim. McAuley also provided the colouring for some of the illustrations in the 1988 annual as well as working with Jessica Martin to contribute an image of herself and the 7th Doctor.

Other Work related to Doctor Who

McAuley penned the novel 'Dracula's Bedlam' with famed Doctor Who writer John Peel. He also worked with Peel on a story which was printed in the Doctor Who Appreciation Societies Cosmic Masque magazine. This was a story set as a prequel to Revelation of the Daleks and gruesomely depicted the conversion of a humanoid into a Dalek lifeform.

The audio drama 'Voices of Dracula' featured the vocal talents of several Doctor Who actors such as Terry Molloy as Renfield, Colin Baker as Van Helsing and Jessica Martin as Mina Harker. It also featured the vocal talents of McAuley's business and writing partner Claudia Christian, famous for being Susan Ivanova in Babylon 5 and portraying Peri's mother in Big Finish dramas. They have co-created a science fiction universe called 'Dark Universes'
